Default Brake install

Well I just finished up with day 2 of my brake install. Yesterday I started late and only got one rotor changed out before I had to get ready for NYE. Then today I got caught up all day with the damn slide pin on the front passenger side. Had to heat up the bracket a few times and wiggle the pin out. If anyone has the same issue as me good luck because its a pain in the ***. But tomorrow I'll finish do the rears and then go out and seat the pads. Anyone have any links or recommendations for how to seat the pads for our trucks. Is it still the 30, 40, 60 deal? For anyone who's interested I have the Brakemotive package and for the most part the install has been a breeze besides the seized slide pin. Didn't get to paint the calipers because none of my stores had the aerosol kit and I wasn't patient enough to do the brush on kit. I'll post an update tomorrow of how I like the rotors and pads.

Most pads just recommend to avoid heavy braking during the first 300 miles or so. Might be a problem if you live in the mountains but in town driving just take it easy for a while. Its a good habit to avoid heavy braking most of the time anyway. Obviously 300 miles of interstate driving is not going to break them in much. The performance pads have their own break-in recommendation procedures.
