Hey all. Currently I have a 2001 Ram 1500 and I'm thinking about moving up to a 3rd Gen for the added room for the kids. I like the idea of a 2500 just because I think they are build a little sturdier and I plan to get a camper down the road. Is there anything I should look for as an issue for one of these? I did find one that I believe is a good deal. Check it out and let me know what you think. I do realize the truck does have a prior salvage title. I have had many of these in the past.

The hemi in the 2500 will most likely get about the same mileage as your 5.9 magnum. I would be most worried about the salvage title. How bad was the wreck? Can you register that in your county, and can you get insurance? A lot of insurance companies won't insure a salvage title.

 

I haven't seen the pictures yet but said no frame, suspension, or air bag damage. license and insurance is not issue for me. My current Ram is prior salvage title. I would hope mpg would be at least comparable. I CANNOT imagine anything getting any worse than my 5.9 magnum.
