I've had my k&n intake for a little over a year now and the filter has completely lost it's reddish color and just looks old. I try to clean every couple months but I was wondering if there would be any point in buying a new filter? Idk if having a worn filter would hurt performance or mpg

 

How are you cleaning it?

 

Just put in a paper element and call it done. BTW, I only clean my TrueFlow filter 'bout once every two years.
