Just sold an 06 Hemi sport, with 114,000 miles and never a trans fluid change. Had headers, CAI and a diablosport and superchips tuners with high performance tunes for about 100,000 miles and no trans issues at all. Still shifted crisply and no sloppiness at all. Dodge makes a good auto. Fluid was still red and had a normal smell

If there was one positive that came from Daimler (Mercedes) ownership it was the re-design of the transmissions. The 45/545rfe are pretty damn solid and at least on par if not a tad better than GM and Ford half ton truck transmissions...

damn nice truck hammer!!!! i'm gonna be getting a 1500 prolly in fall, after work slows a bit and i have more time and money saved up for nice down payment. i can't believe how much prices range from dealer to dealer. some want $23,000 for a quad, hemi, 4x4 with 70,000 miles, and others want $17,000 for the same thing with even less mileage. i don't think any of them use the blue book. according to kbb my dakota is worth around $3,500 trade in as is, but i doubt i'll get that. i tend to deal with smaller dealerships, where your more than just a sack of money walking in the door.
