when I was driving down the road it sounded like a knocking noise coming from the passenger side it would knock for a few seconds and then disappear what Could it Be?

I'm sorry to hear about the knocking sound you're experiencing. How many times have you heard the noise? Does it happen at a certain speed? Are you able to duplicate it?

 

it almost sounds like a hollow knock almost like a woodpecker beat on a tree it happened the last time I had an oil pressure problem my oil pressure gauge reads about half to just under half before it read half to above half yeah it usually happens at a lower speed I don't know if I can duplicate it I'm going to try any suggestions on what it is it almost sounds like it comes from the passenger side. I have the Msd on my truck. I don't know if it's that so annoyed slapping back and forth. I don't know much about the cylinder shut down. any suggestions would help I'm going to try see if I can get it on recording.
