Well that's too bad that superchips cant be custom tuned. Personally a custom tune can give you any kind of shifting that the programmer deems safe for the vehicle. So personally, I'd rather have a tuner that can be tuned rather than one that can just adjust certain parameters. It's a trade off and nothing more. Y'all like your hard shifting S/C tuners. I like a hard running truck that still shifts great, and can be custom tuned, because believe me a good custom tune is worth far more than just adjusting certain parameters.

SC allows for complete USER customized transmission tuning just like Diablo. You can adjust certain engine parameters as well. There is NO software that can be used to customizing the SC like Diablo for things like adding a Supercharger..etc but there is enough to tune for a mild cam.
Do you have a bunch of engine modifications that warrant the need for a Diablosprt? The SC 'canned' engine tunes have been very well checked/dynoed for best performance without doing customizing.
Even if I had a Diablosprt, I would NOT pay for a custom tune that would basically gain me a couple measly HP. I did NOT buy a tuner for the HP gains. I did for MDS disable and the Trans shift schedule adjustment, i.e. partial upshifts/partial downshifts.
My diablosport predator for my 2005 does allow for part throttle up and downshift adjustments as well as wot.
Only reason I'm probably going to switch to a superchip is for the TM adjustment. Is that a single adjustment or do you need to make several adjustments for different rpm's and gears?

So, there are 10 adjustments all together.

I think your unaware of how much the SC tuner can actually do!! SC has the trans tune option that DID more than Diablosport. Unless Diablosport has caught up with the times and allows customized Partial downshifts(because they didn't when I owned one in 2009, they only had the partial upshifts), then SC has them beat for trans ability.

I hate to bust your S/C bubble, but Marty Fletcher, when he worked for KRC Performance. wrote me a free custom tune when I bought the programmer from them, and that tune on a lightly modded 06 Hemi truck decreased my 1/8 mile ET by two full tenths, so I hate to inform you that two tenths less in the eighth mile takes way more than just a couple of HP. Truck had E fan K-N CAI BBK shorties Magnaflow Hi flo cats Magna flow X pipe DIDO muffler 3.92 lsd. The truck shifted great and burned the tires nicely at the 1-2 shift. It also won the truck division in 2009 at the Nashville Superspeedway Adrenaline Drag program. The two tenths improvement came after switching from S/C to Diablosport. So please don't try to tell me you need lots of motor work or a supercharger to benefit from a Diablosport custom tune. The regular performance tunes of both tuners yielded nearly identical results. The custom tune on Beans Diesel Performance dynamometer yielded 300 rwhp, but 390 rwtq, and we all know torque is what gets you moving, and in 1/8 mile drag racing, getting you moving is what it's all about. Like I said before, it's just a trade off as to what you want in your tuner, as to whether you get a S/C or a Diablosport
