Not really, no. Same part used at a junkyard maybe. I got it wholesale through Dodge. This comes with a full warranty, plus.. that whole being new thing.

LOL, this coverlay thing? That's just a cover man, it slips over your dash. I had one (see "before" shots). I just installed a full dash, not a cover.

Price <> Quality And a Complete Dash <> Dash Cover

You're comparing apples to oranges.

Actually I'm not. My point wasn't trying to down play the quality of the part. My point was that $550 is a lot of money.

If there is the same part out there that is cheaper then why would you spend the money. It's his choice and his money I'm not flaming the guy for making the decision to buy this. I admitted that the part i looked up was a cover I didnt know that when i posted it. If $550 is the cheapest you can get it for then case closed. It looks nice and I like it. I just don't like that it cost that much to get it.

I reviewed your earlier post where you stated that Rock Auto has the same part for $252. I have reviewed Rock Auto's listings for 2002 and 2003 trucks (the OP's is a 2002) and the item you reference is listed as a Dash Cover in the accessory section. Even then, the price is less that what you stated, unless you factored shipping.

The OP purchased a complete dash that required complete dismantling of the dash in his truck (brackets and components) whereas the dash cover you're referencing is merely applied over the existing dash.

You're comparing apples to oranges and there is no disputing that.

Did you read the post after the OP stated that the one i quoted was a an overlay at which point I said that i didnt see that it was an overlay i thought it was an actual dash.

You missed the point that was being presented entirely. The Quality was never the issue. The point was presented wrong. Sorry you didnt understand what it was. I was merely saying I'm sure you could find it cheaper. He said that it was dealer part and came with a warranty at which point we had moved on and i asked how long the warranty was for. Then the grammar **** comes in and starts kicking coals.
