NFAB Prerunner bar fitment

NFAB Prerunner bar fitment
Anyone have one of these with sport trim?
My son now drives the RAM daily and last Christmas, he got a bull bar and a pair of KC lites on the front. This weekend, he hit a deer and, fortunately, the only damage was to the bar. The bar is beyond repair compared to the original cost of it. To replace it, he now wants the N-FAB Prerunner light bar. But, when I look up the fitment, I see a note (does not fit plastic bumper). Not sure what this means because the sample picture on the website shows a yellow Ram with sport trim (plastic bumper), and I don't know what difference it makes since the brackets appear to mount in the same place the bull bar brackets did and not to the bumper itself.
