****ATTENTION... Get in and scheduled for your recalls ASAP. Some dealers are actually offering mobile service to get them done. There is a big push now to hurry up the pace. FCA should have made this push THE DAY Takata filed for Bankruptcy....not the day after the deal was finalized!?!?!?

****A little gem about how slow the recalls are getting done. https://www.consumerreports.org/airb...airbags-nhtsa/

*****Takata buyout deal story http://www.autonews.com/article/2017...reorganization
Under the deal, Key Safety's management vows to maintain Takata's 45,000-person employment base, with the exception of its problematic ammonium nitrate airbag inflator business, which is expected to end operation after the sale.
Info on the recall in case you missed it. https://blog.caranddriver.com/massiv...cted-vehicles/

IMO this is going to get way ugly before it gets better.

If you own a vehicle with one of these airbags, even if it's already been done, you'll be getting one of these in the mail. I got mine a week or so ago.

We’re certain you’ve heard of the Takata Airbag Safety Recall and believe some of you are hesitant to get it completed. It is urgent that you take the necessary steps to repair your affected vehicle to ensure the safety of you and your passengers. In a minor crash, the front driver side or passenger airbag on your vehicle may explode due to excessive internal pressure. If this happens, a rupture could result in shrapnel and sharp metal fragments striking vehicle passengers, which may lead to serious injury or death. FCA will repair the vehicle FREE of charge (parts and labor). If you haven’t completed this airbag recall, please share with us why. We care about your safety, and want to understand how we can help to get this addressed. To check if your vehicle is a part of this recall or if you need assistance scheduling an appointment, visit recalls.mopar.com, call us at 1-833-585-0146, or send us a private message. We look forward to hearing your thoughts.

I still need to get mine repaired when I can spare hours of my time to get the truck to the dealership after already doing it for the driver's side airbag. So why were they recalled separately. Does the passenger side airbag take longer to degrade under the same conditions?

None that I know about. That would be great for recalls that could easily be done in the field. At least its not an early Honda that had the biggest problems.

I finally got it in to the dealer to be repaired. The dealership did have a porter take me home after I dropped off the truck for repair. I was able to have my wife bring me back for pickup the next day.

We're still doing several a day with no let up in sight. This is the craziest recall I've seen in 25 years.
