Just wondering who (if anyone) owns a V10 Magnum (not the SRT10) on here. I recently acquired an '03 that I'd like to do some performance upgrades on and am curious to see what others have done to theirs.

 

Ah nice, you have one of the oddballs. I'd actually like to find an 03 2500 with a v10. You might take a run through the 2nd gen section since the v10's are more prevalent there. Best thing I've seen was a 2500 v10 swap into a 97 1500 SS/T, made about 400hp with a mountain of torque. What you need to check into is how tunable your PCM is. The 03 hemi's have a split PCM and TCM, is the v10 setup the same way?

 

Thanks, I'll take a look in the 2nd gen section. I have a lot of researching to do...I don't know a whole lot about the V10s. My daily driver is my Charger, and my better half has his diesel. So this is a learning experience for both of us. The one thing I do know is that upgrades for it are hard to find unlike the Hemi and the Cummins.

 

Funny thing is, the truck V10 is basically a really long 360 at it's heart. Standard hot rodder's tricks should help though, but finding out how tunable the PCM is key to taking advantage of anything you do.

 

Not a lot of bolt on’s for our v10’s. You can get headers and a better throttle body.

It depends on how much work you want to do. I’m doing a build thread in the second gen section on putting a v10 in a 70 Plymouth Sport Fury. It will eventually have viper heads and SRT10 intake with a built truck lower end.
