Default new cam sensor showing bad

I have replace the heads on 2005 4.7 engine I have made sure all the timing is right when I started engine the engine runs good. It is showing a cam sensor code I have replace sensor twice still shows sensor code engine will not go above 1500 rpms. any ideals Thanks

So maybe it isnt the camshaft positioning sensor but something else causing that sensor to think it is bad.

Remember that DTCs that may be sensor specific may not actually be that sensor itself but something else.

HELP My 1999 Dakota v6magnum 2wd shuts off after approx. 15 minutes or when the temp gauge is half way it shuts off like the key was turned off & when it cools down it will go again & last for ten minutes & off again ! I have had numerous owners tell me about the same shutting off Problem! WHAT ARE THE FIXES OR TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS TO STOP THIS VERY ANNOYING PROBLEM ?
