Default 1500 vs 2500 visual differences?

So i'm trying to make my 1500 look like a 2500 because I have to much time on my hands and i'm wondering what the visual differences are between them on the front area? Is it just the bumper or is it something else? I know the axles are different but i have a i don't know level lift on my truck that makes it ride 2500 high.

Posted here because i want just the visual differences and discuss it not a how to or etc. Most parts are interchangeable, usually.

Body wise, nothing. Unlike the 4th gens and beyond, 3rd gens all share pretty much the same body panels. Only exceptions are 3500 duallies. Their rear fenders are unique (obviously) as is the lit tailgate (which can be used on another truck but I don't believe the factory wiring is there for it). 3rd gen 2500's look different only in ride height (spring, suspension and frame), stance (same reasons) and 8 lug wheels with very different tires.

I see so my the bumper is the same i always thought it was different. I have 285/70/r18's which seem to be pretty close to 2500's tires and a level kit/etc. The 3 tailgate light seems... weird on a non dually tbh even if i put it at the license plate like some chevy's did. Ah well thank you for your awnser. Now time to go save up for TIPM repair as i had my first electrical system crash/etc and that i cant ignore now.

So here's one thing I never understood. if the bumpers and etc are the same then why do the tow hooks on a 2500 not fit right up? I'm trying to find brackets for 30 inch curved lightbar in the bumper plastic insert area and all of them say you can't do it on a 1500. but if the bumpers are the same what gives? https://c8.staticflickr.com/2/1495/2...a7f914ea_k.jpg I'm wanting to do something like this to my 1500, i dont feel like doing towhooks as cast steel isnt worth 200+ so lightbar takes priority. I dont get how they can visually the same yet not work mechanically.

Really lol? Body panels are the same but the frames are very different.....tow hooks don't mount to the body.................

I know the frames are different but you'd expect the front to be similar due to the fact that the bumpers both bolt up the same and the bumpers bolt to the frame.

Well they had to make the frames with attachment points for stuff like that in the same place because of the body panels. They were a bit smarter with the body stuff up through the 3rd gens. Then they screwed it all up and made the 4th gens and beyond significantly different.
