Default 392 Swap Questions

Hey guys, I have an 03 Ram 1500 single cab sb. I recently lowered it to a 5/6 drop and my next plan is a 392 swap from a scat pack or older hellcats with the 6.4 I was just wondering if anyone else had done it previously, I plan on buying a wrecked scat pack, pulling out what I need, and parting the rest. I just wanted to know how much money and what custom or miscellaneous parts I need. thanks!

I'm in the process of making a video of lowering it and I'm also going to document the swap once I get the funds for it. if anyone can take some time to subscribe to find me again once the lowering video is done it would be greatly appreciated, thanks

So I assume you've put some thought & research into this and have decided on:
1. How you intend to run it, much less tune it
2. Your willingness to totally rearrange your accessory drive
3. What trans you're going to use

I plan on using the same 6spd that comes with a few scats, I know a manual swap within itself is a whole different thing with clutch, wiring the clutch, shifter, etc. I'm willing to rearrange anything and as for how to run and tune I'm not quite sure

Manual swaps have been done and are fairly straightforward. There are specific reasons for those questions however that you need to give thought to because it is going to manifestly drive up your spending.
Stock 2003 PCM is absolutely WORTHLESS (I have one) for any kind of serious tuning beyond a mild cam like say a Comp 260 on stock displacement. Normally the fix for this is swap to the 2005 PCM and harness. You want to add the extra complication of VVT, which no PCM prior to 2009 can run (2nd generation CAN bus). So now your options are either pull the crank, swap the 58 tooth tone ring for a 32 and lock the cam phaser (negating the advantage of VVT) and you will STILL need to upgrade PCM or go straight standalone, like a Holley Sniper or some such.
The 03-08 truck accessory drive is somewhat unique. The 09+ truck version is very different, which will require wiring and AC hose changes/extensions and possibly frame notching as things end up in different places. In addition, you will have to swap to an electric fan unless you use the later truck setup.
The manual trans bypasses the weaker trans issue and factory hard parts exist for a manual 3rd gen.

LMAO......no such thing. All Hellcats came with the 6.2 Hellcat engine. Older "SRT's" came with the 6.4/392 lol. Stay off Facebook car groups.

im sure you could assume I meant srts. Once the “hellcat” came out it came with the sc 6.2. Still srt though, you know what else is srt? The 2013 model years with the 6.4, which is what I meant, didn’t need all the **** from you, sorry for not being so clear when I’m sure you could’ve assumed 👍🏽😂

Assume = making an *** out of U and Me. So I don't ever assume what anyone does and doesn't actually know unless they clearly demonstrate their ignorance. All SRT's from 2011 through 2018 were available with the 6.4/392; after 2018 SRT's were 'cats only; but you knew that, riiiiiiight.........?
Don't get mad at me because 1) you expect others through the interwebs to know exactly what you mean, 2 ) don't know much and 3) have evidently no clue as to what you're getting yourself into. Just like everyone else who joins a forum and wants an answer silver plattered to them with ZERO research on their end, I fully expect this won't make it past the planning stage lol. ¡Buen suerte!
