i have a 2003 ram 1500 quad cab and can buy a new bed for it off a 2009 ram quad cab.my question is if it and the taillight will fit from what ive read i think it will fit but not sure thanks for any help

 

There have been conversions done where a 4th gen bed is put onto a 3rd gen truck, but I'm not sure how involved it is. It would be a lot easier to get a bed from a 2003-2005 that matches perfectly.

 

is the 2009 a 1500 or 2500+? If the truck is a 2500+ the bed will fit perfectly, but you would have to change the tail lights I believe.

If the truck is a 2009 1500 the bed wont fit without modifications and then it still wouldnt match

the taillights should fit, you will probably need the compete taillight harness from your truck though if they leave there's in, i cant remember if the harness has a connector on the frame or not. I believe the round shape headlights had a different connector, starting in 07 I believe
