Dealer says my Tipm has gone bad in my 07 ram 1500 which they want over 2,000$ to fix. I can get a replacement for much cheaper and do the job myself but was wondering about programming in a replacement Tipm?

 

I think it will run without being programmed, but, various systems will be disabled..... Should then be able to take it to get it flashed to the correct VIN, and all should be well.

What part of the TIPM died? IF it's fuel pump relay, I know there are kits to bypass the TIPM for that....

 

Its not working with the hvac system so I have no AC and I can’t change any of the hvac controls.

 

Is fuse 33 in the TIPM good? Fuse 23??

 

Is the airbag light on as well?
