Default homeade cold air intake!!

i made my own intake today and i love it! took about hour and half and cost me a total of $55. i highly recommend doing this. it sounds AWESOME. if any performance improvement its not enough to notice but im still glad i did it just for the sound and satisfaction. pics comin up soon

cherry bomb extreme is gettin ordered this week and will be installed shortly after...cant wait!!!

This will be my first post!!
Ive been checking out these Homemade CAIs and did my own today.
Super easy and works great.
I did mine the easy way and kept the top hat.. I might change that later.
Here is mine on my 04 quad cab with the 4.7.
Chuck..
I also put up my old F150 just for fun..

Not sure exactly how you routed here, so it may not be applicable, but:

Make sure you don't accidentally remove the anti-water ingestion feature on your air intake.

Airborn puddles in your engine are bad news.

Stay away from water. A large puddle splash that got through that paper filter element could kill your engine.

True but it would take a lot more than a splash. It would have to be pretty deep and a lot of it. The only time Ive read threads where someone hydro locked their engine with one of these setups was when they were trying to get their DR to swim.
