Anyone running an '05
I'm getting little rust colored spots all over the place on my white '05. Dealer said it was from the brakes pads?! They "kinda" wash off, and what doesn't, will come off with wax. Anyway, anyone else getting them? Will a different brake pad cure it?, would the wheel discs stop it? And, my truck is a stone stock "S" model, which apparently is just before they put the SLT badging on. Anyone know if the wiring for seats, mirrors, overhead consloes is present. Contacted DODGE and they all seem to be busy looking for their heads!
When I bought my truck it had little orange rust spots all over it, so I took it back to the stealership and they said it was industrial fallout from when it was built. They said they sit out side in Michigan before being shipped and while outside they start to rust from the industrial waste in the air. Don't know if it's true or not but they did take care of the problem with some clay wax. And as for as the wiring goes, you got me on that one.
My wife and daughters cars sit right next to mine, ones white and the other light blue... NO SPOTS AT ALL. I thought MAYBE something in the paint job? The brake dust deal sounds the best so far. I'm considering the wheel disc shields. Looks like they'll do the job, just wondering about lack of ventilation/brake cooling? Anyone use wheel disc shields?[/align]
Mine had the same problem from the first day I owned it. Leased it new and at night didnt notice till the next morning. waxed the truck 2 times and it went away. Some spots come up now and again just hit them with motorcycle polish and it takes them out. Has nothing to do with brakes replaced my front pads 2 times different man's each time and the orange spots still come back. Also mine is a lease that gets turned in in 5 months so dodge will have the joy of dealing with it. I will buy another dodge just not in white
