Default Rear Window Seal

Noticed water running down between the headliner and the rear window after exiting the car wash today. Originally thought it was from 3rd brake light, but when I pulled it it was dry on the backside. Think it might be coming from the top of the rear window seal. Truck is 6 months old. Anyone else had this problem?

If you have a slider, that may be the cause. The seals on the sliding windows can handle rain fall and such, but if you get a direct water jet shooting at it (like at a car wash) the seal can't handle all of that water flow. Basically the seals don't directly block water, they direct it out to a drain hole.

Default RE: Rear Window Seal

I got my 06 new this last Feb and have had nothing but problems with leaking. Turns out Dodge new that a batch of 06's didn't have the rear glass sealed right and water will pour in. On mine both under seat storage areas were full of water. After they installed the new glass it was still wet and they found a body seam with a hole so they had to reweld it. I am looking into the lemon law since my truck has been at the dealership 4 times now for almost 20 days. They are offering me a free extended warrenty and free lifetime oil changes....maybe I'll hold out for more. Hope this helps.
