To all the guys who served....thanks!
To the guy who started this thread "Rcmaddman"...you can search the forums for exhaust to find some threads on high flow exhausts.....(I think borla or Aeroturbine won). I'm running flowmaster....they sound good and dyno'd before and after install added a few hp...but doubt that converts to much mpg's.
As far as Intake though...go to www.airram.com. This guy designed his own air intake and manufactures it. Check into 2 of his other products as well the "jet stream" and "power wire"....good products. The intake used a 4" conical K&N filter while the CAI air tube itself is just 4" PVC pipe...the key is that it is insulated....colder air= better combustion=more hp=easier to pull.
Hope this helps man.

Before throwing away good money on an air intake in the hopes of improving MPG...why not 'borrow' one from another Ram owner and test it out carefully by towing over a length of highway, then towing without it over the same stretch.
This could be easy to do on a vacation where you will be going to/from.
{keep track of wind direction and speed during the test}
It is always a good idea to keep in your mind the question:
"If these simple air intakes improve MPG why didn't the automakers copy them years ago?"

Try a wind deflector. I am using the turbo wing and get about 25% better gas mileage when I use it than when I don't.
I have a cap on my bed so the wing is mounted pretty far rearward. If you have a fifth wheel you should see some pretty good results.
Get the kind that tilts up and down though as it looks kind of weird if your trailer is not hooked up. I am making some quick disconnect pads for my cap so I can off load it quickly. I only tow a small 16' enclosed race car trailer but it brings me down to about 9MPG. With the wing up and towing at 65MPH I get about 11-12MPG. So you can see the diff.
