I have an '04 QC, 5.7 I want to put some nerf bars on. 2 questions:

1) Truck is red with chrome, but has black side mirrors. I think black powdercoat would look good and rugged, but the wife thinks chrome. Any thouhts?

2) Should I buy Mopar or are there decent quality aftermarket bars for a good price?

I'd go with the stainless steel nerf bars, they always seem to look good on red trucks and you won't have to worry about them rusting.

 

I LIKE THE BLACK... 3 trucks and no rust

 

i'd go with the stainless steel ones just because you have the chrome bumpers and grill. if you had the sport both would look nice in my opinion.

 

I would go with the aftermarket brand. I found a good pair at www.trexmotorsports.com for 209.99. They are so popular they are on back order now. I'm still waiting on mine to come in. I got the stainless ones.
