Default Muffler/Exhaust Questions

Hey Everyone.....
I need some help before I goto the dealer.....
I bought my Truck last Monday Night... and today.. I noticed that the muffler is changing colors... At one end, Well about 3/4 of the muffler on the engine side still looks new... But the other end... closer to the exit pipe... It turned Black, purple,I think a bit of brown as well... Not sure if this is right... But.. Maybe it's just me... But I've felt a bit of power loss... I was thinkin a partially blocked pipe.... Anyone have any ideas as to what my problem could be?... Thanks..

When metal turns a blackish purple color it usually means it got really really hot. You probably have some kind of restriction in your muffler. Its definately not good.

I'm sure thatyou'll fine that you have a restriction in your muffler and that your dealer will take care of as soon as you take it in, but instead of replacing it with stock muffler then you need to ask the dealerif he wouldreplace it with a50 or 70 series Flowmaster Muffler and just pay the differance. this really sounds good if you can only figure out how to make it work, good luck, Lakeozarkman [sm=icon_cheers.gif]
