The warranty runs out on my 2002 4.7 ram 1500 4X4 Quad SLT (20" wheels)in about 7000 miles. I'm trying to get better performance out of my small V8. Hypertech Power Programmer III, K&N Gen II or 77 series coldair intake, affordable cat back duel exhaust, andsynthetic oil. What other ways are there to improve power on my truck? Do not want to tear into motor, add superchargers, or make any radical changes. This is a daily driver, rarely pull trailers, take off road, or drive hard. It just doesn't seem to have enough motor for such a big truck. Also would like to lift the truck some. Are the after markettorsion bar keys the way to go? I've raised the front a little by cranking the torsion bars (1 inch) moderately. How difficult is installing 2" body lift on these trucks? What are the drawbacks of body lifts on newer rams? (don't want to have half my arm in shifter boot digging for the 4X selector, daylight gaps everywhere, bumper issues, ect.)

 

What type of performance upgrade is a body lift? It's not going to improve your efficiency of the truck.

I see he wants to lift the truck but he was talking about improving the efficiency of the truck and while I might be assuming some people are smarter than others.I know plenty of people who will put out misinformation because they are just plain dumb but every now and then someone who does not know that person is dumb hears something they say that sounds logical they way they put it and they go off half cocked only to find after spending a fortune that they heard the wrong information from a moron.
