I have a question about Transmission shift kits, I know what the result of installation is, firmer shifts. However what exactly are they and how do they accomplish this? I would like to know how they work before I invest. Do they have one for the 2006 ram 1500 hemi 4x4?

they increase line pressure and modify how fast the clutches atay engaged or open. im assumming your talking about trans go? the line pressure can be increased simply by soldering a resistor into teh tranny harness. this is part of the transgo reprogramming. you'll need a 2.18 ohm .5 volt resistor.
