I have an 03 4.7 and even with the shi*ty 3.55 gears it hauls just great. I haul my fourwheeler all the time, and have done a few loads of river rock without a problem. With that all being said if I could go back and do it over I would opt for the hemi, same/close MPG and a much high power output. I love my truck but knowing that there is more out there kills me.

4.7 is a great workhorse. But theres a reason the hemi-spherical combustion chamber engine is a legend. The design is that good. I have a 4.7 and I am very happy with it. 392 (or higher)rear gears make it a peppy littleMOFO.

2002 with the 4.7 here and I love it. I haul some good loads of firewood all the time and we tow my wifes 2 horse trailer with it as well, its a workhorse for a smal cube motor and actually does pretty damn good on these mountain roads here in WV/VA. I agree, price wise there is no chance of getting a HEMI for what you can pick up a QC 4.7 for.... (paid $8500 for mine)
