Default Different intake option

Since my throttle body is over 3.25" in diameter, I figured why go smaller? I found a 4" intake system from Spectre Performance (Sold at Pep Boys) that is pretty cool. You can fabricate your own intake, using the different length straight pieces, differently angled elbows, and 4" filters. Mine is very basic, and not quite done, but for those of you who want an alternative (or a garage project) here you go. I still want to make it longer, so the filter is up behind the right headlight. (if you want to flame it, go somewhere else):

One more:

Also, after driving around looking for a house for 3 hours I was surprised how well this metal deflects heat.

After you get it completed you could try a heat wrap to ensure the tube doesn't heat up and then heat your incoming air, but if you like the chrome look keep it as it is. Looks good IMO.

It cost about $120, which is cool because I really wanted 4" tubing. It's got a nice deep tone too.

Thanks for the compliment. The tubing really deflects most of the heat. My last car had an Ebay intake that would get hot to the touch, this one feels ambient most of the way up, after hours of driving. Spectre mentions that on their website.
