Performance Chips

Does anyone have any input on those performance chips that "claim" to add 15-20HP? They cost like $25 ... just curious?

its usually just a resistor thats like 5 cents at radio shack you put in the sensor in your engine pay to trick the computer into thinking that the temperature is cooler than it actually is.

firend had a f250 older model, bought one and it did nothing.

Yeah... I heard of these things actually jamming stuff up pretty bad. And as far as I am concerned, anything that claims 15-20 hp without changing displacement or induction needs to be carefully scutinized
