Class III, and if the trailer only has a 4 blade connector (no brakes), look under your bumper, you'll probably find the one that's already part of the harness (mine did).

For that size trailer... spend the money and get a decent class 3 hitch... like HemiLoneStar said, you probably have the wiring for it right there. And everybody sells them.

The Class III will most likely handle anything you want to haul in the future (within reason). One of the best things I have added to my truck.

personally id go with a class IV because for the little extra cash u spend to upgrade that a bigger hitch its worth it, this way u know u can always haul whatever u want. Id go to a truck accesory shop and they can help you out the best

thanks for all the help guys ... any brands to stay away from or any reccomendations? i'll check on the wiring but for some reason i don't think it's there ... i have a base 2003 quad cab with the 4.7 ... i'll probably go with the class III ... is it as simple as it looks?? cuz all i see are a few bolts to secure and that's it ...
