I have not had a single issue with mine. Just do a search on this site for it... this question has had a lot of threads in the past

I have had my #3815 running on my truck for about three weeks now. The improvements (91-octane setting)in throttle response, power, and fuel economy are great! The only problem that I had was a defective tuner the first time and then the hassle trying to update the replacement tuner online.

Just got mine yesterday. The only problem I had was the dealer set mine to performance 91 and I had 87 octane in the tank. Made the truck run really bad. As soon as I changed my settings, the truck ran great. Better throttle response too. Won't know to much about the gas mileage though as I had an exhaust put on the same time and I have a feeling that my foot is going to be a little heavy until the thrill wears off.

A good thing that I did find out that the tuner can be updated from their website and it appeared that custom tunes can be requested and downloaded for a fee. The updates are free though. I updated mine last night when I got done with the truck. It took about 10 minutes (Cable internet).

As far as use, it is very simple. I read the manual before messing with it but the manual even says that the tuner was designed so that you don't have to refer to manaul. It is all step by step walk through from the screen almost like a install wizard on your computer. I haven't even had mine 24 hours and I am happy.

I really like my 3815 tuner -that is mistaken by my niece and nephew as their Etch-A-Sketch.

My thoughts on 87 tune vs 91 tune

After some calc-a-laten

I think I am going tokeep itset to 91 tune,I get better gas milage in this mode. (When I keep my foot out of it)

I know, I know gas prices suck and it's actually $ per .9 a gal, and no I don't run my tank dry between fillups. LoL

The rough difference in gas prices here at this moment is about:
87 - $2.95 (26gal x $2.95=76.70)
91 - $3.15 (26gal x $3.15=81.90)
Difference ofroughly $5.20per tank full

It's kind of a wash on gas milage, but the performance is a lot different in 91 tune mode.
So for me - Damn the torpedosI am going back to 91 tune.

Thank you sweet baby Jesus with your little golden halo, please help the Oil giants find it in their hearts to lower the price of gas andfeel bad about their 3 billion dollar a year profit margin.

I am in the same boat with the 91 octane use... it almost (I keep a running spreadsheet of fuel consumption with every fill up... also get to see differances made with mods) makes up for the differance in price... not quite, but getting over 325 out of 34 gallon tank in the 2500 makes me feel better about the 3/4 ton.
