RE: Wrecked
Hi Keekthesneek,
Well we had a RedXterra once. The wife got rear ended by a Dodge mini van while I was at work also. It pushed her into the car in front of her and that car into the car in front of them.
I was told by the body shop "Oh yeah we can fix it" I didn't think they could. Frame was twisted, and therear end was severed from the frame.
When it was "Fixed" the body looked ok...But they could never get it level...The vehiclewas 2 inches lower on the Driver side. Also rear hatchwouldn't close right, it rattled and made lots of weired noises.
I hope your girlfriend is ok, My wife spent a year or so in physical thearpywith visits to a Chiropractor.
In hind sight I should haveinsisted they total it.

depending on the damage.... it may ride jsut as good as before or it may never ride right again. id watch it closely and the insurance company is liable to fix it again if its not to your standards (you gotta prove that something isnt right still). NEVER walk away some what satisfied. it HAS to be perfect or dont accept it. You'll pay alot more later on as it wears and you'll start hearing little noises and such, not to mention abnormal wear on other parts and stupid **** like the door seals letting water in. if you hear a sqeak or feel a vibration that you know wasnt there before take it back in, insurance company will fix it.

I feel your pain. I was tboned when my truck was only 3 months old. 6500 bucks and a salvage title later, it rides and operates like it did brand new. Just be sure to find a good shop if the insurance won't total it, the body shop can make all the difference between like new and damaged goods.
