hi i just recently bought a 2002 ram 1500 quad cab with 5.9L i wanted to if there is a govenor or a restrictor on it as i can not go past 100mph even though it no where near topping out.if there is how could i remove it

 

I believe it is programmed into the computer module. You can get an aftermarket programmer that will eliminate it.

 

Hmmmm, after reading about your "restrictor", I had to find out. I got up to 109mph (it wanted to go more) and stopped. Not sure what my cut off

 

Superchips Micro Max will remove the speed governor. I proved it on my dyno. Stock, couldn't get passed 108, tuned, it was endless
