When shifting from park to reverse there is a loud clank noise coming from the tranny. I know that if you put it in gear right after starting it will make the nose however I let it run for about 10 to 20 seconds and it still does it. I just noticed it the other day. The tranny is not doing this every time too. Any ideas? ??

 

I had that happen on a ram that I was test driving (used).....I told the salesmen about it and he said it was a U-joint. I told him to call me when it was fixed and he never did..............

 

I really wish dodge offered a stick for the ram 1500 with the hemi. I'd love that soo much. Reg cab Short bed sport with the hemi and six speed. I would be drooling over that. I just am not a big auto tranny fan. I suggest taking the truck to the dealer or a tranny shop. Tranny shop probably would be better.
