I hear good thing about Mobile 1
But I would still get the K&N Performance Gold Oil Filter

MDS hemi's are suppose to use 5w20, the non-MDS hemi's can use 5w30

as for oil, i always use Mobil 1

Yep Hemiyellow is right, He is prolly the guy that schooled me in the first place.

Just checked my reciept I had 5w30 so I gotta go 5w20. So my Bad.

5w20 hummmm I wonder if Mazola would work..humm

Just get a real good oil filter no matter what oil you use.

5W-20 started in 2005, before MDS. I think they switched to help the Hemi tick.

but you dont need to use 5w20, you can use 5w30...the MDS is only 5w20

The factory recommends 5w30 for your year ram. I personally recommend mobil 1. I recall hearing that the amount needed in earlier gen3 rams is 6-6.5 quarts, the newer ones are the ones that require 7.
