More speakers and an amp.

Personally, I like the bargaining, drives the dealer nuts. I like to see him squirm. I bought a usedvan once, bargained for the price I wanted, thought it was far. When I sat down with the paperwork guy, he asked me if that was an accurate price that the salesman gave him. I said yes and he laughed. He showed me what they paid and the dealership made exactly $118 off me, the min for the salesman to get a cut. I'm sure they made more off the new car it was traded in for but I felt good about it. Best idea is don't let the salesman know you are in love with the truck, then he has the power. Make sure he knows you are comparing it to a few others just like it and just want the best deal. Bottom line, they won't let you leave because then they make no money, and as we know, some money is better then no money! I bought mine off of ebay, decided on a price I would pay, entered it and refused to watch it until it was over. Turns out I won. If I would have watched it, I would have kept thinking, what's another $100? And upped my bid. Got a 2003 4wd Laramie last year with 50K, loaded with everything except sunroof, even the Nav system for $16.5. Turns out the guy just wanted it paid off because he already bought another truck and hated trade-ins. According to Edmunds, it's still worth more then that on trade-in.

Pakaalbite brought up a good place for you, Carmax. No haggling prices and they are fair for the most part. They deal in volume, not individual profit. Hell, they will even tell you how much to ship the one you want in their Florida store to your nearest store. Pretty cool.

I used to be a Ranger guy. Then I got into Mustangs.I still have one and I dont think Ill part with it soon.I did however just pick up an 07 Quad cab.Personally I think its the best truck Ive ever driven.I absolutely love it.A couple of things that bother me though, first is the milage,I traded in a Dodge van that was getting about 23 on the highway, now Im getting like 15.I drive to work 100 miles round trip. The other thing is kind of minor but it still bothers me.I like to use the cruise control,at night its impossible to see,for whatever reason the buttons dont light up.I have to turn on the dome light to see what Im doing.

The best part for me was the price. In April the Socal Dodge dealers(maybe not just Socal) had a special. They were taking 11,000 off of sticker price.I got mine with the Lojack,60/100,000 warranty, paint and fabric protection, window etching and gap coverage for 28,000 out the door.It was cheaper than some of the Dakotas we were looking at.Overall,so far Im in love!!!

Yea, I'm letting all the dealers know that I am looking at like 7 trucks and I email them a document with all of them listed and links to them.. What is carmax? Never heard of it..

I just heard back from the first truck listed:

"Tom,

I know your looking at several other trucks We might have a $1000 to give on
the ram but were to faraway from the 20000

I'll let you know if I take in any other vehicles that might work for you."

I would sell my 05, but not for less than 21.5K.

2005 RCSBHemi Ram 4x4 SLT sportwith 13.5K.
Never seen snow, very little rain, looks new underneath!

Aftermarket stuff
SS nerf bars
Bedliner
Soft tonneau
Flowmaster cat back (original exhaust included, 500 miles on it)
Leather (see pics in gallery for that)

Pics in my gallery, click camera to the left.

Either the Hemi Ram or Jeep will go sooner or later. If the Ram goes then I trade in the Jeep GC on a new Wrangler most likely. If the Jeep goes I just keep the Hemi.

Oh and I had the same truck that I traded in on my 05 Hemi, but it was the Level II, TOTAL rattle box!!

Couple things I should metion to help you.....

2006 is different from 04-05.
New frame and suspension, which included a recall on the front hubs, so watch out there.
New interior (does not work for me, but that is opinion).
New front end (I like them both).
MDS on the Hemi in 06

04-05 came with a 7/70 powertrain warranty, that did not come with the 2006.

Step up and get the ctd 2500, I had a 06 ram 4x4 qc hemi, great truck, especially with superchip. but the diesel is insane, Today I pulled my friends 05 2wd qc hemi out of a river we were crossing with ease. barely touched the gas. then pulled him out of sand with ease. we were jsut trying to see how well his will do.

I've had my '06 for about 1 year now. Had a '94 F150 Eddie Bauer 4x4 Extended Cab before that.
Wish the gas mileage was better, but love the ride and power, just wish the Hemi responded a little quicker when I hit the gas. Guess that is why God made superchips, right?

94rt10, thanks for the offer but the only reason I'm getting a new truck and dicthing my ranger is because I need the 4 full doors.

Question.. As far as speed goes how much of a difference is there between the Hemi and the 4.7.. I don't plan to do any engine mods on either of them. I like to go fast and the giddyup from the start but I'm definately not a "racer" or anything like that.

Reason I ask is because I found an 05 1500 w/ like 25,000 miles. Leather, Infinity, power moonroof, foglights, bedliner... But it has the 4.7. I was wanting the hemi but I will tow NOTHING so if the Hemi is more for towing then I'd be fine getting the 4.7. If it's a HUGE difference in get up then maybe I'll continue looking.

Thanks
