Now I've done it....
Now I've done it....
Looks like I'm in need of a little help here...
I changed my spark plugs today, first time since I got the truck. I bought it used, and apparently they'd never been changed when they were supposed to. Everything was going along swell, and I was kinda happy that it was going easier than expected.
Then it happened....
I snapped one of the studs that the coil over the plug is held down with. Good news is, I was able to remove the entire stud. Bad news is, Autozone doesn't have these. I was contemplating the idea of trying to fabricate one with a piece of threaded rod, 5mm or so.
Does anyone know where I can get one of these studs other than a junkyard?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Do you think I'll have to pay $90.00 for a $1.50 stud? Hope not.
couldn't find one on ebay either. Nor JC Whitney.
I just sent an email to the local dealer. I bought the truck in RI, so I'm not goin back there to get one......
Thanks. Anyone else?

Are you still in RI? Try Valenti's in Mystic CT. They are crooks like the rest of the dealerships, but I have delt with them numberous times without getting raked over the coals too bad.
If you have a "bolt" place in your local are that specializes in nothing but nuts and bolts they might have your huckleberry. In the Hampton Roads are of Virgina, York Bolt is the place to go.
