Default New Exhaust Help Please

I just bought a 2007 dodge ram 4.7 liter V8. My question is should I remove the garbage can of a mufler and repplace it with a flowmaster or should I leave tha on and put the flowmaster closer to the tip? Also does anybody have the correct dianmeters of the pipe?

Replace it. What are you talking about leaving it on and putting a flowmaster near the tip? What would that accomplish?

I've got a 2007 4.7 and I had the tank(muffler) cut out and replaced with a Borla ProXS and a 3" piece of pipe leaving everything else stock, including the resonators. Sounds very mean but refined at highway speeds. All stainless too.
