I'm concerned. When I rev my engine with the tranny in park it halts at 4K as if it's being held back by a lack of 02 or a bad cylinder. Is this a govener on the limits that can be overcome with a Super Chip and Power Programmer or is this a possible mechanical issue?

 

This is so you don't do something stupid like over-rev your engine in neutral. Once you're in gear its different.

 

haha i was angry at first too...got the superchip and nope still there. oh well. not like you need to rev it past 4G's in park/neutral anyways.

me too considering the truck is like only a day old and has barely begun break in. I know in the first thousand miles i try to keep rpms low and vary speed a bit then after that I start to open up into high rpm's a bit more often.
