Throttle Body spacer
I have a 2004 Dodge Ram Hemi with a Flowmaster 40 Series dual exhaust system and a 77 Series K&N High-Flow CAI System. Will a throttle body spacer help out my mid range power and will my CAI system still fit if I added a throttle body spacer???
Throttle body spacer does absolutely NOTHING for a multi-port injection engine. The point of a spacer is to increase the volume in the intake for the older TBI and carburated engine, giving the air and fuel more time and room to completely mix. The newer multi-port system injects fuel right at the end of the intake runner. The only thing going through your throttle body is air. The extra volume does nothing for you because fuel is added later. If you want to match the exhaust, you need a larger bore throttle body. I believe 52mm is what you want to look for.
If you plan on doing any upgrades to your engine, take a look at Hughes Engines first! You do not want to go by the throttle body size (i.e. 52mm) you want to compare by the airflow rating at 1.5"Hg pressure drop. In other word don't just look at the throttle body plate diameter, look at the cfm rating. It is merely a marketing scheme to get people to buy a spacer they don't even need!

Purchased this airaid spacer along with KN 77 series cold air intake, the intake is awesome and sounds great when you call on the hemi,as for the spacer..I put that thing on for one day, the "whistle" in my opinion is a gimmick..you hear something and therefore think you are gaining something when really the only thing I gained was what sounded like a vacuum leak other than that nothing gained..actually lost $ 109.00, once you put it on the truck they won't take it back. Next instead of these cheap gimmicks I am going for the Gibson log style headers..should bolt right up to my borla exhaust.
