I have an 03 ram 1500 it has 118000km and i had just blown the intake on it. i went to start my truck and it backfired and i dont know why. but then it didn't start so i started it again and then the rpms hit the rev limiter then it was idling at like 500 very roughly so i took it to dodge and they got a new one and changed the spark plugs and spark plug wires. it all cost me 900cdn. I was drivng down a street and i seen a white 03 hemi qc with a 3" lift and we raced and i beat him. so he pulled up beside me and asked what i have. i told him flowmaster 50series exhaust and k&n air filter. he said he should of smoked me because he was running 100 shot of nitrous. so we raced agian and he blew my doors off. later we stopped and talked and i told him about my intake. he told me that the 03 hemi's had a recall on the intake does anybody know if there was a recall? thanks

 

Not sure about the recall. If there was a recall on it and you took it to a dodge dealer, they run your VIN to make sure there are no recallsthat need to be taken care of. A huge liability if they do not do this. If there was a recall, your truck may have already been taken care of at a previous service by a dodge dealer. To put your mind at ease, take your truck back to a dodge dealer and have them run your VIN. If there is a recall, they will let you know.
