Just finished changing out the plugs in my 4.7L. Since I had to take the air resonator box off, I thought I'd rev 'er up and see what she sounded like (plugged in the air sensor so I wouldn't throw a trouble code). Christ on an cracker! that is loud and deep even at idle. Please tell me that installing a CAI will sound remotely close to what it sounds like with no resonator.
