I'm looking for a belt driven compressor that will bolt on to the Cummins.

If you know of any please send a link.

With the horns that I have and want to put on an electric compressor just won't cut it.

They are 48" long trumpets with 6" diapghrams. (gona have to go under the bed)

Also wanted to say that it is not the compressor that you are going to need. You are going to need a bigger tank and you can get those anywhere.with the bigger tank you can use an electric compressor, just get a high out put compressor so that it will fill up faster. Or you can buy the huge tank, and fill it up at home with your own garage compressor or at the local gas station

aren't you a little scared mounting the tank by the front bumper?? If you get into an accident and that tank blows up at 100+ psi. Could mean bad news. I like the setup though it looks sweet. The horns I want are on the JCwhitney website. They call it the cannonball express. One of the loudest horns on the market something like 152 decibles.

pricey though, thats just for the horns, the compressor and the tank are another 260.
100psi really isn't that bad if there was a total breach in the tank, it probably would scare the crap out you that wasn't already scarred out of you when you got into the accident. The gas pistons in many cars bumpers are more dangerous, and often can stay compressed (under a higher pressure than 100psi) and can let out without warning after the accident. One of my fellow firemen in Windsor Locks CT had a piston go through his leg or something while extricating a patient out of a car that had some moderate to heavy front end damage. Jammed him up for a while.

Thats the general idea!
I just want to be able to give the boys with the train horns a taste of thier own medicine (times 4)
They are marine fog horns nice low pitch and very loud (you can hear them well over 5 miles away)

I really want to hear those.

Now for the bad news. My compressor fried after 1 week of use. The good news, Seige Engineering is great and they are sending me another one with no hassles. I am pulling mine tomorrow and sending mine back and I should have the new one within a week. Oh well, **** happens, but everything is good when you deal with good companies.

For anyone considering these keep in mind some local laws make them illegal, so no tooting by cops to be safe.

That is what a selector switch is for.

Wow,ya'll are nuts! I have to listen to those damned things all day long. The last thing I need is to hear them on my truck! Not knockin ya'll, just wondering what the point is. Unless your a firetruck or ambulance I think its pointless. be carefull of where and when you use these, some poor little ol lady is likely to pile her Saturn into a phone pole trying to avoid a freight train on the interstate. FYI I amA locomotive engineer, hence the aversion to train horns.
