Default how much fluid

I planning on changing my rear end oil, and 6 Speed transoil in the next couple weekends or so can any one tell me how much they hold.

I planning to go with AMS oil they always did me good.

And I read some where that the 6 Speed Manual trans takes ATF if this is true what type, and what wt of rear end oil should I run non posi unit.

Oh Yea it's a 2006 1500 Q-Cab 3.7, 6 Speed, 323 rear end.

chrysler has finally got smart, by using the same fluid in different systems (power sterring, transmission, etc). chrysler now uses ATF+4, which i believe is either a synthetic or synthetic blend in the power steering and both auto and manual tranmissions. the rear end specifies a synthetic 75w90 (double check owners manual on actual weight) but don't use the limited slip additive (i read that 03's with posi also does not use the additive). i'd personally go with mobil, but amsoil is good so i hear... and honestly, unless you're at the mileage mark where you need to change your oil, i'd leave it alone. but don't go over too far. just my 2 cents

I just feel better knowing there some high end high grade oil in the truck.

Just trying to make the truck last instead every 100000 to 170000 trade it in for a new one I want To buy a old convertable Vett Next after this one paidoff. the Vettwhich most likley be a money pit until I get it set up right.

Yea I like to have a Viper orothergo very fast, Mach speed, High G-turnning make you'r wife yell at youSuper Cartoo but way out of my price range.

I guess I need to down to the dealer and find out how much fluid needed to do the Trans and rearDiff oil change.

But if you know anyone thats knows rear ends they will tell you change the Diff oil in these trucks once a year they dont use the best parts in them anymore.

I had a old Dodge power wagon with the 9.25 rear end it was tough then once again it had the 727 Trans in it to those were tough trany's also, back in the day.

The newer lighter weight stuff is not as bullet proff anymore.
