Jet Module, Hypertech Prog or headers
Guy's, I hardly ever post, but I need some help. I just installed a full catback exhaust, removed the Borla factory one. I also just ordered the VARARAM air intake system. Now, my question is should I go with the Jet Stage I module, Hypertech programmer or just purchase headers???? I want the most bang for the buck, but I don't know if I will need the programmer anyway for the headers?????? Anyone have ideas?
If you want a programmer, I recommend the Superchips Flashpaq 3815, the jet chip seems to get compensated for by the pcm after a while. Also, some (not all) have reported getting a lean condition with long tubes and a tuner, so keep that in mind if you plan on having both eventually. (A wideband A/F guage may help with that however by allowing you to see if a lean condition is occuring and enabling you to shut down the engine if that is the case).
If warranty is not an issue, Cam it. (best bang for the buck if you do it yourself)
I havethe SCFlashpaq and love the performance. But cost for theprogrammer has gone up since I bought mine.

Superchips.
Not only will it change performance parameters and shift points with at least 3 different programs, it also doubles as a Data-reading tool to check for codes, and check engine/sensor functions, INCLUDING a book of codes and their explanations........
Performance AND a functional tool to save you money and stay away from the dealership..............
Bonus.
