Default Check Engine Light 2003 Dodge Ram Hemi Help!

Hello, Im new to this site. I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 4x4 Hemi. I have added the following. K&N filter charger Kit. Air Aid throttle Body spacer. Borla Dual exhaust. Everything has been working well and i have had no problems until today when the check engine light is on and will not reset. Im hoping someone will guide me to the right place to start looking at and possibly fixing this without going to the dealer. The last mod i did was the Borla exhaust but it has been on for a few weeks with no problems. I just dont know if i shoud try to fix it myself or take it to the dealers, I do have the platinum extended warranty but im kinda wondering if they can say it because of the mods i did and it wont be covered. Any help or advise would be appreciated.

Unless you have a Superchips unit (or scanner) that will also recover codes, without knowing the code, I doubt anyone can help you. Guessing what's wrong with your truck is like guessing what you ate for dinner last night..............

A guess........

Turn your key on/off on/off on, and in the odometer area you'll see your codes flash up.

The mods won't effect the warranty....it's against the law unless they can prove the mod caused the descrepency. Which is very difficult to do. Stop by an auto-parts store and have them read the code, they'll do it for free.

I have an 04 Hemi with 47k miles, and my MIL light came on a few weeks ago. Turns out it was a bad EGR valve. Dealer put a new one in for $116. You can take your truck to Autozone and they will read the code for free so you'll at least know what it is.

Gotta know the code. It will get you a starting point to start troubleshooting. But the dealer shouldn't hassel you because you put a few mods on. And that TBS isn't doing you any good. They don't do anything for our engines.
