Hey guys Im new to the forum. Im not a mechanical person at all but I have an issue with my Dodge 1500 its an 03 with the smaller V8 engine w/20inch tires. I love the truck but I have a problem when it rains heavy and there is a good amount of standing water in the streets. If I go through the water up to my Truck for a short period of time my power steering goes out ?????? I bought this truck thinking that it was a hoss and could pretty much do anything I needed it to do, but when the power steering goes out when I hit a puddle that seems to be a problem. I have to strong arm the truck off the side of the road and sit there while the engine dries before I can turn the steering wheel with ease again.

Anyone else have this issue ?? I would like to know if its something I need to correct or a malfunction of some sort ? Like I said I dont really have any other complaints but it makes me nervous in the rain especially when I have a newborn in the back.
