Default Gas Prices!!

I haven't seen any threadsabout how much gas costs for the super best truck of all time, Dodge Ram Hemi, so I'll figure I'll start one.

Truck/yr: RAM 1500 SPORT 5.8 HEMI/ 2007
Location: San Diego, California
Gas used: Chevron, Costco, or Shell
Octane: 89
Price as of 6/7/07: $3.45 a gallon.
Tank size: 26 Gallons
Avg total price I pay at the pump: 87 dollars
Living in San Diego with all the Hot Girls, perfect weather, and cool and chillpeople...Priceless....I think...LOL

Why do you run 89 octane??? I'm suprised the gas prices here in Houston are still at $2.92.

The gas prices here in North Georgia are around $2.85. Some places are higher and some are lower. I am running 87 octane & BP or Kangaroo fuel only. All of the other fuel places always makes my valves rattle. Exxon & Chevron fuel are dang good but never can afford them.

I'm testing the 89 octane. When I first got my truck I was using 87. I wanted to see what the mileage difference for me would be. Some say they had better mileage and otherssaid they don't.As far as fuel cost, it is always an issue. I understand that I have a HEMI and I understand that fuel consumption and cost are not going to be the best. However, to say that fuel cost is not an issue doesn't make sense to me IMHO. Anytime I'm paying for something and it's taking money out of my wallet it's an issue to me. If I have a honda civic or a toyota prius and I'm paying only 20 - 30 dollars for gas the cost is still an issue for me. Now, if my last name was Hilton and I had a daughter named Paris then cost will never be an issue for me...

you will find that you actually get better mileage on better fuel,at least I do. With my mods I still get respectable mileage even with the tuner set on 91 performance. I get around 14 in the city and between 18 and 19 on the highway. The extra 6 bucks or so that better fuel costs is off set by better mileage in my truck.

You would have other issues if your daughter was Paris Hilton.
