I got my 05 probably less than a year after my 04.

Bought it at the end of 05, the 06s were out, and the 'employee' discounts were going on. So to get rid of the 05 they sold it to me for 21,500.00 plus they ate the upside down part of my 04. So it worked out pretty good.

The only issue I had with the truck is that the 3rd brake light leaked when it rained the day I picked it up. Other than that no issues.
I think there was a TSB on that or something.

Bummer, no 2 door Sahara's in stock.
Call up Jon Binder and see what he can do. Tell him I sent you. 800-575-0219
It makes me feel all warm and squishy when a fellow forum member hooks up another. God, I shouldn't be on this thing when I am drunk.

07 hemi bighorn 4x4 with limited slip, fold flat floor things, tow package, tinted windows.......msrp 36,250 and i got it for 24,640 and they paid for my plane ticket to go pick it up. I bought it from dave smith motors in kellogg, idaho. I drove down to sacramento and went to folsom lake dodge, but they sucked. They wouldnt even honor there ad that was in the papers because they called it a "weekend special". So i called Ben Mitchell at dave smith motorsand he quoted me 24,640 over the phone within 5 minutes. He also said that he would pay up to $200 for a plane ticket and have me picked up from the airport in Spokane, Washington and driven to the dealership which is an hour east of Spokane.......Very easy transaction..........

Just bought a 4x2 Thunderroad Hemi. Got it for invoice minus 6K incentives.

It ended up being about 23,500 which was 10K less than sticker. Most of the deals in this thread seem to be invoice + 6K bonus for about 10K saved. The holdback is about 1K so the dealer is still making that and maybe some other fees. Acouple of the deals here are 12K off MSRP which would be LESS than invoice. Either the holdback is bigger than listed or there are other hidden incentives.

I tried to push a couple dealers below invoice, but they wouldnt even consider it. Then I just focused on getting exactly the option package and color I wanted.

One thing for sure is that the MSRP doesnt reflect reality compared to the new tundra the ram is more expensive and ends up being a few thousand less after the rebate, which is about right, IMO.

Thanks for all the help guys. One thing that does make me wonder is why you can buy a slt quad cab dodge for 10,11,12 thousand off sticker, and then in a years time, the trade in is still 16-18 thousand. It just sucks how much our dodge's depreciate in a short time. I live in the mountains of western north carolina, and everyone buys a toyota tacoma for 26 grand, drives it for two years and sells it to somebody for 20 grand. What the hell is so special with the tacoma? I test drove one the other day and it felt like i was sitting on the floor. My old mustang's seat sat higher.
I just dont get it, but I am considering a tacoma so that I would be able to trade if i wanted in two years or so.[&:]
I sold my 05 st hemi ram to a guy who was looking for that specific truck, but prior to that, i visited my local Dodge dealership only to be offered 9500 for a clean truck with 19000 miles that stickered at 30 grand 2 years earlier. At that same dealership, my friend got more for a 1999 regular cab toyota tacoma with 70000 miles. I felt bad for selling my truck to a guy for 18 grand.( but he wanted it?)
Whats the deal with resale value?

I am at the point where i dont know what to do, but I do love the HEMI!

Keep it clean, dont go crazy with mods, and sell to a private party.

Forgot to mention that toyota is also offering 2K incentives now, but I doubt they are at invoice, so its still much more expensive than the RAM. That is going to start hurting resale.

The toyota was just redesigned so that has something to do with it. I think the new tacoma is taller than the ram but dont know if it sits higher.

To get the same trim level and options as the RAM, you will pay 10K more on the silverado. The ram is the best value and looks better than all the other trucks.
