i have a 03 dodge ram 4x4.....

i screwed in the torsion bars to raise the front about 2.5 inches and then i went to the garage to get an alignment doen and the guy told me he couldn't align it because it wasn't at the stock height..... any truth to that???

Nope. I did the same thing to my '03 and had no problems getting an alignment after.

I agree. I leveled out my 99' Tahoe years ago (about 1in was all)and never had a problem getting an alignment. It's BS. Go somewhere else. Be careful about cranking those torsion bars too much though as you may be putting more stress on the other parts which may cause them to wear prematurely.

Some shops go strictly by the book. They want all the specs to be good, even ride height because of liabilities and all.

You can try to juice the guy a $20 see he will do it anyway.

welcome to the world of corporate america....gotta love it. ride heightshould have nothing to do with the alignment as long as it will stay at the same height as when you align it.
