What color wire ispower for the back-up lights in the tail light assembly of a 05 Ram 1500 quad cab?I want to connect after market lights to the back up lights for additional lighting when backing. Thanks.

Not sure if your 05 and my 02 are the same, (4x4 QC, 1500) but I popped out my right tail light and used the purple with black tracer wire, to do the exact same thing. I added a rear backup lamp for my trailer, and backing up to it at night.

is it white/light green on a 2006 mega cab also? need to put on 5 wire plug for boat. have to hook up to backup lights to keep brakes from locking up when backing.
