ok i still got the sticker from the dealership and i see alot of options that i have in the truck that the sticker doesnt show added to the truck.

ive got the 7 pin connector the class five hitch but those arnt listed as being part of the truck on the sticker, the sirius radio is on there fog lamps isnt on there. theres some more thats not added on there, the thing im wondering is what is in my truck that i dont know about, since i have th 7 pin connector and the class 5 hitch, would i have the 750 ampere battery? here it says i have the trailor tow group whats that mean?

ok so i found out that yeah my truck has the towing package and what itis but. what really makes the difference between one ram with the towing package and one without? any difference in power?

 

Some options, like for lamps specifically, or a special interior option isn't always listed separately, rather as part of an "options package". It might be called "Outdoorsman Package", "Sport Package" or "Comfort Package"or something stupid like that. For interiors, it will include tilt wheel, passenger sunvisor vanity mirror or little things like that...

The "Towing package" includes your trailer plug wiring harness in place, (mounted to the frame in the rear) Heavy duty radiator, Trans cooler and heavy duty battery. Ironically,mine didn't come with a hitch, and that had to be added on for my truck. (2002) The hitch tube is there under the bumper for my year, but no receiver came on it.

I'm not aware of any power difference, but there may be a difference in rear gearing options.

 

yeah same with mine no reciever came with mine just the tube i put the reciever on myself, i got the 4.7 v8 but hopefully with the towing package i'll be good to go.

 

Yup, when I bought my 1500 there was tow package, said bigger electrical system, and more coolers. Now if only they would make the mag-hytec covers standard equiptment [sm=confused06.gif]

yeah that looks just about like mine except for the gas tank and the leather steering wheel and the hemi, mines got the 26 gallon tank

 

I love how they list the MDS as a seperate charge, like its an add on but you cant get the hemi with out it

 

what is the mds and does 4.7s come with it?

 

cylinder deactivation system which allows the hemi to run on 4 cylinders in certain cases for increased fuel economy. The 4.7 does not have it.
