Default Fishtailing on a 3.7

Well the rain is finally here and yesterday I was taking a turn at a relatively slow speed. The truck started to slide to the side, I was like what the f?, I wasnt even going fast. Fishtailing, I was like, lets do it again. I mean, I occasionally go drifting with my truck, but this was on a busy street, I couldve hit someone. Anybody experience this also, can something be done other than carry a ton on the back or better tires?

Check your tires. The *** end of the 1500's is light compared to the rest of the truck. Maybe the water was deep enough were you hydroplaned. If you want to add weight, just get a 50-75lb bad (long bag) of sand and put it right above each wheel in the bed of the truck. It helps tremendously

are you still running the stock goodyears? i had the same issue until i replaced my tires. it is very rare ( it does still happen on occasion) for my tires to slip now, unless i force them. pirelli scorpion atr. great tire for about $150 each. these also cut the uncontrolable rear end hop by about 75%.... you know when you hit a bump and your *** end goes wherever it wants.

i agree with Hemichief as well. adding some weight will help "tremendously"

I'm ditching my crap stock Goodyears for the same reason, and for the same tire. Can't beat that $150 price for 20's!

Thanks guys, yes I am still with stock GYs. I will change them soon. Its true, I go over a bump and the thing wiggles like this and like that meng. Oh wait, thats the buffon from Adam Sandler.
I want wider and taller tires like a 305. I wont do this to you guys, I wont make this into a "new tire size" thread.
